The bestpickr™ AI Score is a composite 0–10 ranking derived from product data retrieved via the Amazon Product Advertising API. It answers one question: "Based on verified buyer data, how good is this product?" The score is not an editorial opinion and is not influenced by affiliate relationships or brand payments.
The Four Components
Platform Ratings40%
The product's star rating on Amazon India, sourced via the Amazon Product Advertising API. A statistical confidence weighting is applied based on review volume: a product with 50 reviews at 4.8⭐ scores lower than one with 5,000 reviews at 4.6⭐.
Review Sentiment30%
AI-driven sentiment analysis applied to available review signals, classifying buyer feedback as positive, neutral, or negative. This detects star inflation — products where average star ratings are high but the underlying sentiment reveals recurring complaints.
Value for Money15%
A measure of how well the product performs relative to its price tier within its category. Products that deliver above-average performance for their price band receive a positive adjustment; premium-priced products are held to a proportionally higher standard.
Review Volume & Confidence15%
A statistical confidence weighting that scales logarithmically with review count. Products with very few reviews, however positive, cannot achieve a top score. This prevents newly listed products with limited data from displacing well-established, high-confidence rankings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can a product score 10/10?
A: Theoretically yes, but in practice this does not occur. A score of 10 would require a perfect 5.0⭐ Amazon rating, 100% positive sentiment analysis, best-in-category value for money, and an extremely high review count — all simultaneously.
Q: Why does the AI Score differ from the Amazon star rating?
A: Because the AI Score aggregates multiple signals. A product with 4.8⭐ on Amazon can score lower than a 4.5⭐ product if it has a small review base (low confidence), poor sentiment distribution, or poor value for its price tier.
Q: Is the AI Score based on verified data?
A: All underlying data — ratings, review counts, pricing — is sourced from the Amazon Product Advertising API. The AI Score reflects this data at the time of the most recent update and is subject to change when the underlying data changes.
Q: Can brands pay to improve their bestpickr™ score?
A: No. bestpickr™ does not accept payment, sponsored placements, product samples, or any consideration in exchange for influencing rankings. The only way to achieve a higher AI Score is to make a product that buyers rate and review positively.
Q: How often does the AI Score update?
A: Scores are recalculated whenever the underlying API data is refreshed. Pricing data is updated frequently; platform ratings and review counts update as Amazon propagates changes through the API. Scores for actively searched products refresh more often than niche or low-traffic products.
