• Email address — only if you opt in to price alert notifications (this feature, when available, will require explicit consent).
• Search queries — the search terms you enter, used to return relevant results and, in aggregated form, to improve our search and ranking models.
• Contact form messages — if you email us directly, we retain that correspondence to respond to your enquiry.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Anonymous visitor identifier — a randomly generated ID stored in your browser's localStorage. It is not linked to your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
• Page views and product click events — which pages you visit and which products you interact with, used to calculate product popularity scores and improve ranking quality.
• Technical metadata — screen width, browser type, operating system, and referrer URL, used solely to diagnose layout issues and improve the user experience.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, phone number, or postal address (except if you provide them voluntarily by email)
• Payment card or banking information of any kind — we are not a retailer and do not process transactions
• Your activity on third-party platforms (such as Amazon) after you click away from bestpickr™
• Precise geolocation or GPS data
• Data from third-party advertising networks, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the bestpickr™ service and search experience
• To calculate product popularity scores used in ranking and recommendations

bestpickr™ uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store an anonymous visitor identifier for session continuity and popularity scoring. We do not set third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or social media pixels. If our cookie or analytics approach changes materially, this policy will be updated and a notice prominently displayed on the platform.

5. Third-Party Links & Amazon Redirect

bestpickr™ is a product discovery platform. When you click a product link, you are redirected to Amazon India (Amazon.in) to complete your purchase. At that point, Amazon's own Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy apply to your session. bestpickr™ does not receive individual purchase data from Amazon; we receive only aggregate affiliate commission reports that are not linked to individual users.

6. Data Storage and Security

bestpickr™ stores data on secure cloud infrastructure. All data transmissions between your browser and our servers are encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only. While we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, no system is completely immune to risk, and we encourage you to use a secure and up-to-date browser.

7. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics event logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted. If you have subscribed to price alerts, your email address is retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us.
